Article 1 – Definitions
In these terms and conditions, the following definitions apply:

DJ / Service Provider: DJupscore, providing musical entertainment services (e.g., DJ sets, performances, event music).

Client: Any individual or legal entity that enters into an agreement with the DJ.

Agreement: A booking or contract where the DJ agrees to provide services for a specified fee.
Article 2 – Applicability
These terms and conditions apply to all offers, agreements, and bookings between the DJ and the client, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
Article 3 – Bookings and Confirmation

A booking is only confirmed once it has been acknowledged and accepted by both parties (in writing).

The DJ reserves the right to decline any booking request without stating a reason.

A confirmation document will include date, time, location, duration, and agreed fee.
Article 4 – Cancellation by the Client

Cancellation up to 1 month before the event: no cancellation fee.

Cancellation between 1 month and 1 week before the event: 50% of the agreed fee will be charged.

Cancellation less than 1 week before the event: 100% of the agreed fee is due.

All cancellations must be submitted in writing or via email and acknowledged by the DJ.
Article 5 – Cancellation by the DJ

In case of force majeure (e.g., illness, accident, technical failure), the DJ reserves the right to cancel the performance.

The DJ will make every reasonable effort to provide a suitable replacement.

Any payments made will be refunded in full if the DJ must cancel and no replacement is arranged.
Article 6 – Payment

Payment must be made within 7 days of the invoice date unless otherwise agreed.

For short-notice bookings (within 14 days of the event), full prepayment may be required.

Additional costs (e.g., travel expenses beyond [location]) will be agreed upon in advance.
Article 7 – Client Responsibilities

The client is responsible for providing a suitable venue, including access to a safe power source and protection from weather for outdoor events.

Any damage to the DJ's equipment caused by guests or conditions at the venue may be charged to the client. (so it's recommended to take some kind of insurance)

The client must ensure all necessary permits or permissions for the event are in place.
Article 8 – Liability
The DJ is not liable for any personal injury or damage to property occurring during or as a result of the performance.
Article 9 – Force Majeure
The DJ is not responsible for failure to fulfill obligations due to circumstances beyond reasonable control (e.g., natural disasters, extreme weather, power outages, pandemics).
Article 10 – Complaints and Disputes
Complaints must be submitted in writing within 7 days after the event.
This agreement is governed by the laws of Belgium, and any disputes will be submitted to the competent court.
